Bio-Restaurant Strandgut in Bad Schandau

Most random place we ended up on one of our trails. After a hard Day we had No expetations apart from starving.. And wauw. First they have alot of vegan offers. Secondly they taste freaking amazing! Some of the Best food we good in our 8 days in Germany, and Best in Saxon Switzerland where we stayed for 5 days ??

Very nice place, only renovating in the middle of the high season. Too bad we would have liked to eat there!

A pearl on the Elbe! We ate here several times and it was always exceptionally good. Not only is the quality right, but the tasty preparation is also excellent. Of particular note is the very cozy outdoor area with sun loungers and tree swings.

Great restaurant with great service and a very creative and excellent cuisine. We were there 4x eating this week and always very positively surprised. All organic, sometimes vegan (and we didn't even notice it), so there was something for everyone and still with great attention to detail. Highly recommended!

Had a really nice dinner at this cozy place. Staff was very friendly and all food was really delicious. They specialize in vegan / vegetarian dishes.

Very tastefully and comfortably furnished restaurant, especially the fireplace room. Super tasty and creative food. The vegan cabbage rolls and the beet brownie were a dream. In addition a substantial organic beer from the place. Top service and a very friendly service. We will definitely be back.

We ate here on 28.10.2019. The fireplace room is really VERY comfortable. The rest of the restaurant is nicely decorated but a bit too light for my taste - too many lamps. Partial power saving bulbs that make the room bell bright. Most guests therefore prefer the fireplace room, as we did. My companion is vegan and therefore I have also joined in to order something vegetarian. The pumpkin soup was delicious but not liquid enough, rather porridge. As a main course I had parsnip with cabbage roulade stuffed with potatoes and mushrooms. The taste could have been heartier with a classic gravy. The consistency was too similar to the potato filling + parsnip. In the end, I had the feeling that I only ate porridge all evening. The next visit I would therefore rather test a meat dish. Incl. Starter, main course and a glass of wine I was exactly € 30, -. At the price, I would have wished for a little more whistle on the vegetarian sector.

Were late in the afternoon. Whatever was allowed, you could not order food. Not even a soup. Sorry, if you have until xx clock on and then can not order food and then not even learn exactly why and stupidly waiting for the operation, you can not expect 5 stars. The map was very small, the prices are already high.

The service, the location, the food: everything is a dream! We were there for late lunch and could enjoy our meal on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the river. The server was very attentive and humorous. The menu is varied and also vegi / vegan friendly. We and our dog have felt very comfortable and will be happy to stay in the hotel.

Actually, the right concept for the region. Organic, selected dishes and a clear map. In terms of taste, however, imho still has room for improvement. Slightly bland and rather undefined, the pork fillet with tagliatelle, zucchini, bacon and sauteed tomatoes came over. But the appetizer bread salad was very good. Also a bit ugly is the rather sparsely filled homepage in the mobile view. But there is still much to be done, then the loving atmosphere in the rooms and the food justice.

Super delicious, special lovingly prepared food, large selection for vegetarians and vegans, nice ambience both inside and outside and friendly service. And the best: everything organic! Price also not more expensive than the rest in Bad Schandau.

The ambiance and the food were just perfect. We were received very friendly and lovingly served. For this experience I would come again to enjoy this on the Elbe again. Such great locations are unfortunately rarely found. Thank you for everything!

Freshly prepared dishes, highly recommended and in addition the great seat in the green ... The restaurant is a bit hidden but was a great find! Gladly again. ?

Individual - authentic - delicious! Not far from the German-Czech border hides a sympathetic organic restaurant, which impresses with regional-seasonal cuisine and warm service. Booking by e-mail was not a problem and ordered flowers were on the table upon arrival. Kulianrisch are offered unusual interpretations of modern German cuisine, such as fried chicory or refined red cabbage soup. An adequate selection of wines, spirits and local fruit juices rounded off the meal. Payment with EC card was possible without any problems. On occasion, gladly again!

Super delicious food & a friendly service! The concept with regional and seasonal products convinces and appeals, combined with an atmosphere of well-being and lingering you can only recommend this restaurant!

Delicious Vegan

great place, but very tight and without child corner

Just found this place by chance and it has been one of the best restaurants I found while travelling through Saxony. Staff super friendly, all the food seems to have been prepared very carefully. A bit expensive but it pays just sitting in the garden outside, by the river. Nice place to go with kids and sit on the grass while spotting the trains passing by. You need to know that the restaurant is there because it's in a road on the way to Czech Republic. Very recommended.

We were here in October 2017 (so I don't know if the map is still up to date) The restaurant is located on the banks of the Elbe. The meadow and a tree with a swing offer space for children's urge to move, but you have to keep an eye on them because of the water. The area is also very suitable for walks with and without a dog. The landscape can be enjoyed from the outside seats when the weather is nice. The interior is rustic and cozy. The food was very good and the specialty of the region "cold dog" was delicious. This is a chocolate biscuit cake and there was also ice cream and fruit. We were very late for lunch and asked if it would be possible to share the main course and then order a cake for everyone. The request was met and for me this is a sign of very good service. The service was also very friendly. All in all a very nice afternoon.

A compliment to the kitchen, the dishes here can be described as creative, experimental with the composition of individual components and harmonious. Excellent food, highly recommended! I would like to refer my 5 stars only to the kitchen and location, no movement for the waitress.
